1. For the animals
Most Factory Farm Animals live in confined spaces and suffer a cruel and horrible death. Chickens, for example, have their beaks chopped off so they won’t hurt other chickens when fighting for some breathing space in their battery cages, which most of the time provide space smaller than the size of one letter sized sheet of paper. Male chicks are often ground up alive because they won’t produce eggs. Chickens as well as cows and pigs bleed for hours in agonizing pain before they are killed. Piglets have their tails cut off and their teeth clipped. All of this without any anesthetics.
