Master Cleanse Journal:

After my first full day on the Master Cleanse Diet I can honestly say that it wasn’t too bad. Sure I was hungry most of the day, but not with the intensity of some of the other fasts/cleansings I’ve tried.

I found that I had a surprising level of energy throughout the whole day. I can only guess that it has to do primarily with the Maple Syrup.

I went to the store last night to pick up what I could from a “normal” grocery store. I got organic lemons, Grade B Maple Syrup, Cayenne Pepper and the sea salt. So at least I was able to get started this morning.

However, I had to wait till lunch time to go to Whole Foods to get the rest of the items.

The only item Whole Foods didn’t have was the Hoodia extract. I was able to find a bottle at the local private health food store.

The worst part of the whole plan is drinking the salt water first thing. Honestly, it’s pretty tough to get down. I mixed the salt into 16 ounces of warm water. I was glad to get that over with.

I found myself in the bathroom almost right away. It was kind of rough. But after the initial bout, it leveled off and I just had frequent but rather minor visits the rest of the day.

The lemonade was pretty easy to make and I had my gallon made up in no time. A tip though; If you use a gallon of water, make sure you remove enough water to make room for the syrup and lemon juice.

I alternated between 16 ounces of Lemonade and water throughout the day.

It went quite smooth. I took the wheat grass in the afternoon since I didn’t get it right away. Tomorrow, I plan on taking it first thing and then again right after lunch time.

I took the Hoodia in the afternoon. It seems to work best right before normal meal time. I think tomorrow I’ll use it just about an hour before lunch and dinner.

So after my first day, I am pleased to say that it went quite well. Better than expected. I feel more energy than I expected. I look forward to my second day.
